This article carried out an analysis of the factors that influence the increase in damaged product inventories and their financial impact on the company CIFARMA - Peru. The company was able to implement controls and strategies that allowed it to improve its damaged product recovery processes, improve the working environment and reduce costs. The research responded to a descriptive type; the design was non-experimental and transversal; while the scope was qualitative and quantitative. The techniques used were direct observation and unstructured interviews; the instrument used was the questionnaire. The population was made up of the people involved in the process of recovery and reconditioning of finished products of the company CIFARMA - Peru, and the sample selected was made up of 14 people. The data analysis was analyzed, graphed and explained, which allowed the comparison of the theories and the interviews with the objectives. After obtaining the results of the research, it was determined that the CIFARMA company has a modern and mostly automated production process, as well as high quality standards and a broad vocation for service. As for the weaknesses detected that generate damage to the products, it can be inferred that they are related to the handling of the products, as well as deficiencies in the packaging material. Damaged boxes have increased from 4000 to 5000 boxes in the last quarter, with powder and liquid detergents showing greater deterioration, with 20 % being recoverable, while the remaining 80 % is a loss of inventory. The investigation concluded that the company has temporary activities but no permanent procedure to control the increase of damaged production.
