This research was due to the importance of the financial impact on manufacturing companies, for the increasing in damaged products and the costs incurred for recovery and refurbishment. The objective was to develop strategies that would allow to know what are the causes that generate the increase of products in bad condition and identify each of the expenses that the company incurs, as well as know the different activities carried out to achieve the decline of damaged finished products at Colgate-Palmolive S.A (CP) company. This research was developed under the feasible project modality, based on data collection techniques (interviews and surveys), that is, a field investigation, which was methodologically supported by documentary sources. The population was composed of representatives of the finished goods distribution departments, costs, accounting, and individuals involved in the process of recovering the damaged final goods. The sample was selected according to the causes related to the study, based on a non-probabilistic one resulting in fourteen (14) people, who provided the key information related to the object of analysis. After obtaining the results it was possible to determine that the CP company has a modern and mostly automated production process, it also has high quality standards and a wide vocation of service. It was concluded that the company applies temporary activities, but does not have a permanent procedure to control the increase in waste production.
